Welcome to War Horse Pines

War Horse Pines is the soon to be home of our homesteading project.  Located in north-eastern Maine, is an 86 acre parcel of land, including house, 2 barns and old sawmill and 15 acres of pasture land.  On this we hope to keep our horses, sheep, cows and a bull.  Poutry and fowl include, chickens, geese, ducks and guiena hens.  We will also be raising rabbits and goats. The rest of the property is timber, which we will use for our fuel and building, and as a small income.

On our Homesteading forum you will find a little insite into our lives, I can't promise it will be daily, but you can follow along and read about all the trials, tribulations and triumphs of our homestead.

The forum is also where you can post questions or join in groups about anything that relates to homesteading including -  animal husbandry, vegtables, herbs, timbering,garden and household tips, there arel also groups on states, where you can ask questions or talk about the particualr state you live in.
